![]() ![]() NotePerformer is pretty impressive with large ensemble scores, but it's not very good got chamber works. I expect there is some way to tweak it in the EW player, but haven't had the patience to do that.Įarlier in this thread someone mentioned NotePerformer. I get extreme, sudden, unwanted changes in dynamics. I bought the solo violin and have never figured out how to make it work well with Sibelius. > Not (yet) integrated with Sibelius, but Eastwest has just released solo cello as part of its "Hollywood" series, and it is absolutely beautiful (solo violin to be released later this year unfortunately no plans for viola yet). Did it recently buy XSample from some other company, or have I just had my head under a rock? (I guess those are not mutually exclusive.) ![]() I don't recall seeing "Best Service" before, but I've seen XSample for years (and have been thinking of buying it for years). That said, Best Service has a nice chamber ensemble with a fully dedicated Sibelius sound set. > Like Mike said, this is never going to be very convincing. Si me castigare vis, necesse est me intellexisse. You can still use music notation since they both have a 'score editor' but you then have ultimate control over the output sound.ġ.6GHz Intel i7 Quad core, Win 10 Pro, 8GB, 7TB HDD, Scarlett 6i6, Sib 6.2, 7.1.3, 7.5 EWQLSO Plat, Miroslav Phil, NotePerformer, Harmony Asst, EWQLSC, GPO, COMB2 If the audio is your primary concern, get a program like pro tools or cubase which gives you greater and finer control over the output. Any audio you get out of that is really just a side benefit. ![]() Its job is to get the music onto the page - something which it does pretty well. Sibelius is, primarily, notation software. If you are into music production, you would be much better using a dedicated DAW. No sample library is going to give you perfect results with Sib, without oodles of fiddly, messy work 'under the hood'. If you are doing it to produce ultra high quality recordings of your work, then you might be better getting involved with real people. It depends on the purpose of your final audio. You could try NotePerformer as a cheaper option than going for something huge like EWQLSO. ![]()
